NBA: Los Angeles Clippers 93, Minnesota 90

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Chris Kaman had 25 points and 11 rebounds Monday and the Los Angeles Clippers beat Minnesota 93-90 for their first win of the season.

Eric Gordon scored 17 and Baron Davis had 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Clippers, who opened the season with four straight losses.

Al Jefferson scored 24, Corey Brewer had 14 points, six assists and four rebounds, and Jonny Flynn and Oleksiy Pecherov scored 13 points apiece for the Timberwolves, who lost their third straight after opening the season with a win.

The T-wolves tied the score 86-86 with 1:45 remaining but Gordon put the Clippers ahead with a layup and a Kaman free throw gave LA an 89-86 lead with under a minute to play. Minnesota cut the lead to one with 25.9 seconds remaining but Rasual Butler made two free throws to put the Clippers ahead by three once more.

Ryan Hollins got Minnesota back within two with a jam but Butler hit two more free throws to seal the victory for the Clippers.
