CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme was feeling good Monday, a day after injuring his chest in a game against Arizona, Coach John Fox said.
Delhomme fell to the ground after being hit by Cardinals' defenders Chike Okeafor and Darnell Dockett in the third quarter of a 34-21 Carolina victory. The quarterback missed a play but returned to the field before leaving in the fourth quarter.
Asked how Delhomme was doing, Fox said: "Good. I talked to him this morning. He was in to watch (game) tape. I think he's got some soreness, but he feels good."
Delhomme completed 7-of-14 passes for 90 yards and a touchdown before leaving the contest. He has had a rough season, passing for just five touchdowns with 13 interceptions in seven games.
Carolina is 3-4.
