NBA: Denver 133, Memphis 123

DENVER, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 42 points Sunday, leading the unbeaten Denver Nuggets to a 133-123 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Denver's lead was just 67-66 at the half after Memphis guard O.J. Mayo made a basket with time expiring in the second period. Memphis got within 118-113 with 4:16 left before Anthony's jump shot started a game-ending Denver run.

Chauncey Billups scored 22 with 12 assists. Nene had 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Kenyon Martin totaled 12 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Chris Andersen had 12 points with five rebounds for the Nuggets, who have won their first three games.

Mayo led Memphis with a career-high 40 points and added four assists.

Marc Gasol scored 20 with 11 rebounds, Rudy Gay scored 18 points and Zach Randolph had 12 points, six rebounds and seven assists for the Grizzlies, who have lost two of three.
