Melzer tops Cilic in Vienna final

VIENNA, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Austrian Jurgen Melzer knocked off top-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia Sunday in the championship match of the Bank Austria Tennis Trophy in Austria.

The seventh-seeded Melzer's 6-4, 6-3 win gave him his second title on the ATP Tour. His other victory was in Romania three years ago.

Cilic, the world's 13th-ranked player was trying for his fourth title on the tour. He had beaten Melzer in their three previous matches.
