COL FB: Georgia Tech 56, Vanderbilt 31

NASHVILLE, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Josh Nesbitt threw two touchdown passes and ran for two others Saturday, leading 11th-ranked Georgia Tech to a 56-31 win at Vanderbilt.

Overall, Nesbitt passed for 193 yards and ran for 56.

Jonathan Dwyer scored three times on 22 carries for 186 yards, while Roddy Jones gained 80 yards on nine carries with one touchdown for the Yellow Jackets (8-1), who have won six in a row under new Coach Paul Johnson.

1 in its last 12 games against the Commodores with five straight wins.

Vanderbilt quarterback Mackenzi Adams was 12-for-22 for 152 yards.

Larry Smith threw a touchdown pass.

Warren Norman also ran for 60 yards on 11 carries and scored on an 80-yard second-quarter kickoff return for the Commodores (2-7), who have lost their last five games.
