Tommie Harris' wife dies

OTTAWA, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Ondrej Pavelec made 50 saves to spur the Atlanta Thrashers to a 3-1 NHL victory over host Ottawa and break a four-game losing streak Saturday.
Rich Peverley had a goal and an assist while Zach Bogosian and Maxim Afinogenov each lit the lamp for the Thrashers.
Mike Fisher scored the lone goal for the Senators while Pascal Leclaire made 18 saves for Ottawa, which dropped its fourth game of the last five.
