COL FB: Auburn 33, Mississippi 20

AUBURN, Ala., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Ben Tate rushed for 144 yards with one touchdown on 25 carries Saturday, helping Auburn upset No. 22 Mississippi 33-20.

The touchdown on a 53-yard run gave Auburn a solid 31-7 lead with 7:42 left in the third quarter.

Quarterback Chris Todd completed 12-of-22 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown.

Walter McFadden intercepted two passes, returning one 29 yards for a second-quarter touchdown.

Darvin Adams made four receptions for 68 yards with one touchdown, while Terrell Zachery added two receptions for 83 yards for the Tigers (6-3, SEC 3-3), whose last road win was 26-22 Oct. 3 at Tennessee.

Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead passed for 175 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Dexter McCluster scored once on 22 carries for 186 yards and Jesse Grandy scored on an 82-yard third-quarter kickoff return for the Rebels (5-3, SEC 2-3).

Shay Hodge caught seven passes for 105 yards.
