INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade led a third-quarter surge Friday that allowed Miami to pull away for a 96-83 victory over Indiana.
Miami has opened the season with two straight victories and Indiana with two consecutive losses.
Wade scored 32 points, and Jermaine O'Neal had 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Miami had a two-point lead at halftime and Indiana quickly tied it at the start of the third quarter. O'Neal, however, hit two straight baskets to begin a Miami outburst that gave the Heat a 16-point cushion going into the final period.
Danny Granger led Indiana with 22 in its first home game. The Pacers made just 4-of-23 shots from 3-point range.
