Friday, November 20
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Steve Nash, beginning his 14th NBA season, made a layup with 6 seconds remaining Wednesday to give Phoenix a 109-107 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Neither side had more than a nine-point lead throughout the game, which saw all five Phoenix starters score in double figures.
After Nash put the Suns in front, Eric Gordon missed a 3-point attempt to win it just before the buzzer. The Clippers have opened their season at 0-2 after losing Tuesday to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Nash scored 24 points while making 9-of-15 shots from the field. Grant Hill had 19 and Leandro Barbosa 17.
The Clippers, who lost all four meetings with Phoenix last season, were led by Marcus Camby with 23.
