DALLAS, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Mike Ribeiro tied the score with 2:45 left in regulation Wednesday and James Neal scored 2:57 into overtime, giving the Dallas Stars a 4-3 win over Toronto.

The tough setback added to the woes of the Maple Leafs, who were coming off their only win of the season after losing their first eight games.

Brad Richards scored late in the second period and early in the third to give the Stars a 2-1 lead, but goals by Lee Stempniak and Nikolai Kulemin put Toronto in front with time running out.

Ribeiro tipped in a shot by Jamie Benn to force overtime and Neal put a wrist shot past Jonas Gustavsson to win it. Gustavsson was starting for only the third time in his career, having earned the appearance Wednesday by being in goal for Toronto's win Monday.

Marty Turco stopped 33 shots for the victory. The Stars have earned at least a point in all but two of their 12 games this year.
