NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Ryan Miller's 31 saves Wednesday led Buffalo to a 4-1 win over New Jersey Devils, the Sabres' fifth straight road victory to start the NHL season.

Goals by Clarke MacArthur and Tim Kennedy about five minutes apart gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead after the first period. Paul Gaustad and Jason Pominville (power play) scored in the third for the Sabres, whose best previous road start was 10-0 in the 2006-07 season.

Andy Greene (power play) scored New Jersey's lone goal at 4:17 of the second following assists by Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner.

Goalie Martin Brodeur was beaten four times on 27 shots for the Devils, who had won six of their first seven games.

Buffalo was 1-for-4 on the power play and New Jersey went 1-for-5 with the man-advantage.
