ATLANTA, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Mike Bibby touched off a game-ending 20-8 run with a 3-pointer Wednesday, boosting the Atlanta Hawks to a 120-109 victory over Indiana.
The Pacers led throughout the third period and for the early part of the fourth before the Hawks closed their season-opening contest with a rush.
Bibby gave Atlanta a 103-101 lead with 8:07 to play and Indiana managed just eight points the rest of the way.
Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 25 points and Al Horford had 24 to go with 15 rebounds. Horford made 11-of-16 shots from the field.
Danny Granger had 31 for the Pacers.
Indiana shot 53 percent from the field and Atlanta 52 percent. The Pacers, however, turned the ball over 25 times to just 10 for the Hawks.
