NHL: Chicago 3, Minnesota 1

CHICAGO, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Dave Bolland and Troy Brouwer scored first-period goals for Chicago Monday and the Blackhawks went on to defeat the Minnesota Wild 3-1.

Minnesota's goal came on a shot by Andrew Brunette early in the third period and Chicago's Patrick Kane completed the scoring later in the third.

Cristobal Huet stopped 20 shots for the Hawks, who have won six of their last eight contests.

Niklas Backstrom had 30 saves, for Minnesota, which has dropped seven of nine.
