LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Anze Kopitar and Alexander Frolov both scored twice Sunday, leading Los Angeles to a 6-2 victory over Columbus that gave the Kings four victories in a row.
Kopitar ran his goal total for the season to 10 and delivered the backbreaking score with 57 seconds left in the second period when he tallied on the power play. That gave the Kings a 4-1 lead 5 minutes after Antoine Vermette had scored the first goal of the game for the Blue Jackets.
Columbus again got within two midway through the third period, but Frolov came through with his first two goals of the season to turn it into a runaway. Los Angeles leads the Pacific Division by one point over San Jose.
The Blue Jackets have played seven of their first 10 games this season on the road and have lost four of them. They are unbeaten at home.
Jonathan Quick made 24 saves for the victory. Steve Mason allowed all six goals on 25 shots.
