DENVER, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Craig Anderson made 48 saves for the Avalanche Saturday in Colorado's 3-1 win over the slumping Detroit Red Wings.
Detroit was 0-for-8 on the power play and lost its third consecutive game.
"We had people there in the crease all night," said Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg. "We had second chances, and we just have to keep battling. It's always tough to beat a hot goalie."
Detroit's only goal came at 3:09 of the second period when Kris Draper scored to put the Red Wings ahead 1-0.
T.J. Galiardi came back to tie it at 14:26 of the second period. Chris Stewart tallied the deciding goal at 9:20 of the third period and Paul Stastny added an empty-net goal with a minute left to play.
Detroit's James Howard allowed two goals on 22 shots.
