
SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Eddie Wide's one-yard overtime touchdown run Saturday boosted 20th-ranked Utah to a 23-16 Mountain West Conference win over Air Force.
It was his second touchdown in the contest.
The earlier score came on a 45-yard run in the first.
Overall, Wide rushed for 121 yards on 17 carries.
Terrance Cain went 11-for-21 for 121 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, and David Reed caught seven passes for 149 yards, scoring on a 90-yard Cain pass in the third quarter for the Utes (6-1, 3-0), who have won four in a row.
Connor Dietz led Air Force with 98 rushing yards and 64 passing.
Erik Soderberg kicked three field goals, with the last for 48 yards, creating a 16-16 tie with 6:29 left in the fourth, while Jared Tew added a touchdown on 16 carries for 43 yards for the Falcons (4-4, 3-2), who have lost their last four games after a 4-0 start.
