LUXEMBOURG, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky beat sixth-seeded Sabine Lisicki of Germany in straight sets Sunday to win the Luxembourg Open.

The scores, 6-2 7-5, gave the 20-year-old Bacsinszky her first career title.

In the second and clinching set, she bolted from a 4-4 tie to earn a $37,000 paycheck.

Lisicki dropped to 1-2 in career finals. She had advanced to the Luxembourg final with a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) win over Israel's Shahar Peer at Saturday's semis.
