PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Eagles middle linebacker Omar Gaither is done for the 2009 season with a left foot injury.

Gaither, a 6-foot-2, 235-pounder who was Philadelphia's fifth-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft out of Tennessee, is the second middle linebacker the Eagles have lost in 2009 to a season-ending injury. Stewart Bradley is out with a knee injury

Gaither was injured late in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's 13-9 loss to the Oakland Raiders. In his absence, Coach Andy Reid said on the team's Web site Thursday, newly added Will Witherspoon likely becomes the middle linebacker ahead of veteran Jeremiah Trotter.

Also, veteran wide receiver Kevin Curtis, who has missed the last three games, awaits a second opinion on his injured right knee, while defensive end Victor Abiamiri, who also has a knee injury, likely will miss Monday night's contest against the Washington Redskins.

He also was hurt in the Oakland game.
