Sam Bradford wins the 2008 Heisman Trophy

NORMAN, Okla., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Injured Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford called a news conference Wednesday to talk about his treatment options, and then canceled the media session.

School officials said Bradford, the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner, would seek further information before deciding on a course of action.

Bradford suffered a sprained shoulder for the second time this season during the first quarter of a 16-13 loss to Texas Saturday. He originally hurt the shoulder in the opening game of the season and missed the next three contests.

He chose to return to school for the 2009 season despite expectations he would have been one of the top selections in this year's NFL Draft.

Bradford has another year of college eligibility remaining. He threw for 4,720 yards and 50 touchdowns a year ago. Bradford has thrown just two scoring passes this season.
