Two of top four seeds ousted in Moscow

MOSCOW, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Victor Hanescu and Igor Andreev, the second and fourth seeds in the Kremlin Cup, became upset victims Tuesday.

Wayne Odesnik, ranked 91st in the world, rallied to defeat Hanescu 5-7, 7-5, 6-4. Robby Ginepri won a marathon match against Andreev, the 2005 winner of this event, 6-3, 6-7 (9-11), 7-6 (7-1). Ginepri needed 2 hours, 32 minutes to oust Andreev.

Hanescu has lost his opening match in his last five tournaments.

In other opening-round action Tuesday, sixth-seeded Janko Tipsarevic defeated Daniel Koellerer 6-4, 6-3 and No. 7 Fabrice Santoro survived against Andrey Kuznetsov 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
