
CHICAGO, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- A third-period goal by Stephane Robidas proved the game-winner for Dallas in its 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Robidas dumped the puck into the Chicago zone at 10:27 of the third period. It slipped past Cristobal Huet and put the Stars up 4-2 and doomed Chicago's four-game winning streak.
Brenden Morrow, Toby Petersen and Mike Ribeiro also scored for Dallas. Alex Auld stopped 29 of the 32 shots he faced in goal.
Chicago had goals from Niklas Hjalmarsson, Jonathan Toews and Troy Brouwer. Huet had 21 saves on 25 shots.
After a scoreless first period, Dallas built a 2-0 lead on a rebound goal by Morrow and a tip-in by Ribeiro. Brouwer scored an unassisted goal 34 seconds after Riberio to make it 2-1.
Peterson put Dallas ahead 3-1 at 9:31 of the second period and Toews scored at 3:36 to make it 3-2.
After Robidas made it 4-2, Hjalmarsson closed out the scoring from between the circles with 4:28 to play.
