ATLANTA, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Josh Nesbitt's three touchdown runs Saturday led 20th-ranked Georgia Tech to a 28-23 ACC upset of fourth-ranked Virginia Tech.
The quarterback, who excels rushing, completed only 1-of-7 passes for 51 yards with one interception, but gained a team-high 122 yards on 23 carries.
Running back Jonathan Dwyer gained 82 yards on 20 attempts, while Marcus Wright added a 13-yard third-quarter run for the Yellow Jackets (6-1, 4-1 ACC), who had not beaten the Hokies in Atlanta since November 1990.
Tailback Ryan Williams led Virginia Tech with one touchdown on 14 carries for 100 yards.
He added a fourth-quarter touchdown catch.
Quarterback Tyrod Taylor completed 10-of-14 passes for 159 yards, one touchdown but two interceptions and scored once on 13 carries for 63 yards rushing for the Hokies (5-2, 3-1), whose five-game winning streak ended.
