NHL: Florida 4, Philadelphia 2

SUNRISE, Fla., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Radek Dvorak scored shorthanded to give Florida a third-period lead Friday and the Panthers went on to down Philadelphia 4-2.

Florida halted a four-game losing streak and handed the Flyers their third straight setback. Philadelphia played its first game in six days.

The Panthers twice came back from a one-goal deficit and moved in front 7:02 into the third on Dvorak's second goal of the season. Steve Reinprecht clinched the victory by scoring into an empty net with 1:20 to play.

Scott Clemmensen made 25 saves to get the victory in his first appearance of the season.

Stephen Weiss and Nathan Horton also scored for the Panthers. Horton's goal tied it at 2-2 and came with just 54 seconds remaining in the second period.

Ray Emery stopped 24-of-27 shots in defeat.
