
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- A power-play goal by Rafi Torres in the second period proved the game-winner for Columbus in its 4-1 won over the Los Angeles Kings.
Torres broke a 1-1 tie with 2:58 left in the period on a backhand, then added two more goals in the third period to put the game away.
Jason Chimera, Rick Nash and Jakub Voracek also scored for the Blue Jackets, who have won three in a row.
Steve Mason stopped 27-of-28 shots in the win. Jonathan Quick had 20 saves on 23 shots for Los Angeles.
Dustin Brown scored the only Los Angeles goal on a 4-on-2 breakaway at 10:08 of the opening period, giving the Kings a 1-0 lead.
Chimera tied the game with 47 seconds left in the period on a slap shot from the left circle into the top right corner of the net.
