CONCORD, N.C., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch took the lead with 55 laps remaining Friday and cruised to a victory in the NASCAR Nationwide series Dollar General 300.

Busch, who suffered from serious flu-like symptoms earlier in the week, won the race for the second straight year while barely outrunning an approaching rainstorm at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

He led a total of 137 laps en route to his first victory in two months. It was his seventh victory of the season and his 28th career triumph in the Nationwide series.

Busch increased his points lead to 195 over Carl Edwards with four races remaining in the season.

Mike Bliss finished almost two seconds behind.
