DALLAS, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Hunter Lawrence's fourth-quarter field goal Saturday lifted second-ranked Texas to a 16-13 win over arch-rival and No. 18 Oklahoma.
The kick, with 12:08 left in the fourth quarter after a pass interception by Earl Thomas, produced the only points either team scored in the second half.
Lawrence booted three field goals. Quarterback Colt McCoy completed 21-of-39 passes with one touchdown and one interception.
Foswhitt Whittaker gained 71 yards on 18 carries and Marquise Goodwin scored once on four receptions for 36 yards for the unbeaten Longhorns (6-0, 3-0 Big 12).
Oklahoma was forced to rely on red-shirt freshman Landry Jones when starting quarterback Sam Bradford suffered his second right-shoulder injury this season.
Bradford, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, fell hard on the shoulder when hit by Aaron Williams early in the first quarter.
Jones was 24-for-43 for 250 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the Sooners (3-3, 1-1).
