BUFFALO, N.Y., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Clarke MacArthur, Tim Connolly and Tyler Myers each had a goal and an assist Friday in boosting Buffalo to a 6-3 victory over the New York Islanders.

The Sabres scored the game's first three goals and won for the fourth time in five games this season. Buffalo's only loss came in overtime in its opener against Montreal.

New York has also played five games and has yet to win. The Islanders and Toronto are the only winless teams remaining in the NHL.

Myers scored on a backhander 2:27 into the game and MacArthur was good on a penalty shot with 5:18 to play in the first period. Buffalo maintained at least a two-goal lead the rest of the way.

Dwayne Roloson was removed from the game after giving up four goals on 12 shots. Martin Biron, who began his career with Buffalo 19 years ago, made 20 saves in relief.

Ryan Miller saved 36 shots to get the victory. Jason Pominville scored the final Buffalo goal, the 100th of his career.
