WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Jamie Langenbrunner scored the winning goal in the shootout Monday to hand the New Jersey Devils a 3-2 victory over Washington.

Brian Rolston and David Clarkson each scored in regulation and goalie Martin Brodeur had 31 saves for the Devils, who finished a road trip 3-0.

Washington surrendered a 2-0 lead in its fourth straight loss. Mike Green and Mike Knuble each scored a goal and Jose Theodore made 27 saves for Washington.
