NHL: Los Angeles 2, New York Islanders 1

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Drew Doughty scored the decisive goal early in the third period Monday to give the Los Angeles Kings a 2-1 win over the New York Islanders.

Anze Kopitar scored the other goal for the Kings, who have won four straight after losing their opening game of the season. Jonathan Quick blocked 28-of-29 shots for Los Angeles.

Matt Moulson scored, with only 1:55 remaining in the game, for the Islanders, who have yet to win through four games this season. Martin Biron blocked 20-of-22 shots for New York.
