ST.LOUIS, Mo., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Minnesota's Adrian Peterson scored the first of his two touchdowns early in the game Sunday and the unbeaten Vikings went on to rip the St. Louis Rams 38-10.

Peterson scored on runs of 5 and 7 yards, and Brett Favre completed 18-of-24 passes for 232 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown toss to tight end Visanthe Shiancoe.

The Vikings (5-0) also scored on a 52-yard fumble return by defensive end Jared Allen, a 1-yard run by Chester Taylor and a 47-yard Ryan Longwell field goal.
