NHL: Buffalo 1, Nashville 0

NASHVILLE, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Mike Grier scored with 3:25 left and Ryan Miller had 25 saves Saturday in a 1-0 Buffalo Sabres victory over the Nashville Predators.

Miller recorded his first shutout of the new season and 13th career whitewash for the Sabres.

Pekka Rinne stopped 41 shots in the loss for the Predators.

Grier got the lone goal of the game after taking a feed from Tim Kennedy.
