GAINESVILLE, Fla., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- The status of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow against LSU Saturday remains unknown, Coach Urban Meyer said.

Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, has not participated in contact drills since he was hospitalized for overnight observation with a concussion, suffered Sept. 26 against Kentucky. The top-ranked Gators were idle last weekend.

"There's a chance that Tim could play," Meyer said. "That's all I know."

He was sacked late in the third quarter against the Wildcats and his head struck the knee of teammate Marcus Gilbert.

"If you've ever had vertigo, you know the room can seem to be spinning and you can't walk from here to the bathroom without falling down," Dr. Bayard Miller, a neurologist in the University of Florida College of Medicine, said Wednesday on the school's Web site while discussing athletes' head injuries. "It can be much the same after a concussion."

If Tebow is unavailable, Florida will start red-shirt sophomore John Brantley.
