MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Brett Favre, who turns 40 Saturday, passed for 271 yards and three touchdowns Monday to lead the Minnesota Vikings to a 30-23 win over Green Bay.

The three-time league MVP, who played 16 seasons with the Packers, was playing in his NFL-record 273rd straight game, and became the first player in league history to beat all 32 NFL teams. He connected on 24-of-31 passes.

The Vikings (4-0) have won their first four games in a season for the first time since 2003 when they won their first six, but finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers, who replaced Favre as Green Bay's starting quarterback in 2008, threw for a career-best 384 yards. He was 26-of-37 with a pair of touchdowns, but was intercepted once and sacked eight times.

Clay Matthews returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown and Jermichael Finley had six receptions for 128 yards and a TD for the Packers (2-2).

Minnesota's Jared Allen had 4 1/2 sacks, one forced fumble and one safety.
