COMMERCE CITY, Colo., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Conor Casey scored the equalizer in the 58th minute Saturday, giving New England a 1-1 Major League Soccer tie with Colorado.

Casey scored his 16th goal this season on a penalty kick that fooled Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis.

The Revolution (10-9-8) have a win, a loss and two ties in their last four matches, earned a point in the Eastern Conference standings and need to beat Columbus in either of its two remaining regular-season matches to secure a post-season berth.

The Rapids (10-8-10) earned a point in the West, but since Chivas USA and Seattle won, they fell into a tie for third place in the West.
