PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Paul Hoover's 10th-inning RBI single Sunday lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-6 win over Florida in their regular-season finale.

Hoover's only hit of the game broke a 6-6 tie with two outs in the bottom of the 10th.

Philadelphia's Miguel Cairo had two hits -- one a solo homer. Ben Francisco and Eric Bruntlett had two hits each for the NL East champion and reigning World Series-winning Phillies, who face the NL wild-card entrant Colorado in the Division Series this week.

Sunday's winner was Chad Durbin (2-2).

Wes Helms led Florida with a two-run fifth-inning single. Chris Coghlan had three hits and one RBI and Ronny Paulino had two hits and one RBI for the Marlins, who were trying for a three-game sweep.

The losing pitcher was Dan Meyer (3-2).
