CINCINNATI, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Joey Votto's two hits and three RBI Saturday led Cincinnati to an 8-4 victory over Pittsburgh.

His two-run double upped Cincinnati's lead to 5-1 with two outs in the bottom of the fourth and later his solo eighth-inning homer capped the scoring.

Darnell McDonald had two hits and one RBI.

Scott Rolen hit a solo homer and scored twice.

A run scored on Jason Jaramillo's fourth-inning passed ball, while Ramon Hernandez added two hits for the Reds, who had lost two in a row.

The winner was starter Johnny Cueto (11-11).

Pittsburgh's Delwyn Young had three hits -- one a three-run sixth-inning homer.

Andy LaRoche hit an RBI double for the Pirates, who had only six hits and had their three-game winning streak stopped.

The losing pitcher was starter Zach Duke (11-16).
