
BALTIMORE, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Baltimore scored the game-winner on an 11th-inning error Sunday and closed with a 5-4 win over Toronto.
Losing pitcher Brandon League (3-6) threw wildly to first base on a bases-loaded sacrifice bunt by Jeff Fiorentino with no outs in the bottom of the 11th.
Baltimore's Nick Markakis had two hits -- one a two-run homer.
Justin Turner hit a pinch two-run sixth inning single, while Brian Roberts added two hits for the Orioles, who closed 2009 with a three-game sweep against an old nemesis.
The winner was Matt Albers (3-6).
Toronto's Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista had two hits each, including solo homers.
John McDonald also hit a solo homer, while Randy Ruiz had three hits for the Blue Jays, who ended 12 games under .500 (75-87).
