Tommie Harris' wife dies

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Keith Tkachuk had two goals and an assist Saturday when St. Louis beat Detroit 5-3 in an NHL game in Stockholm, Sweden.
Brad Boyes, Andy McDonald and Patrik Berglund also scored for the Blues, who won 4-3 in Stockholm on Friday and began a year with two wins in a row for the first time since the lockout-shortened 1995 season.
Ty Conklin, a Red Wing last season, blocked 29 shots Saturday for his first win with St. Louis.
Tomas Holmstrom, Niklas Kronwall and Dan Cleary scored for the Red Wings, who had not begun a season with two consecutive losses since going 0-3 to start the 1989-90 campaign.
Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard gave up all five goals on 32 shots.
