ATLANTA, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Ilya Kovalchuk and Rich Peverley each had two goals and an assist Saturday to lead the Atlanta Thrashers in a 6-3 win over Tampa Bay.

Anssi Salmela and Zach Bogosian also scored for Atlanta, which avoided blowing a 4-0 lead. The Thrashers got two assists each from Bryan Little and Tobias Enstrom and 36 saves from Ondrej Pavelec.

Martin St. Louis had two goals to pace the Lightning, who have lost 10 in a row dating to last season, when they finished with the second-lowest point total in the league.

Tampa Bay's Mike Smith allowed all six Atlanta goals on 28 shots.
