SEATTLE, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Taylor Teagarden singled in the go-ahead score during a three-run ninth Friday, bringing Texas a 7-4 victory over Seattle.

The Rangers let an early 3-0 lead get away, but rallied to tie the game at 4-4 in the eighth on an RBI single by Michael Young and then got to Seattle closer David Aardsma in the ninth.

Aardsma (3-6) retired the first two batters in the ninth, but Chris Davis and Esteban German then singled. Teagarden's single to left brought home pinch-runner Craig Gentry and, after Randy Messenger relieved Aardsma, Elvis Andrus doubled home two more runs.

C.J. Wilson (5-6), who retired two batters in the eighth, got the win. Frank Francisco worked a perfect ninth for his 25th save.
