ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- B.J. Upton hit for the cycle, drove in a career-best six runs and scored three times Friday in pacing Tampa Bay to a 13-4 victory over the New York Yankees.

Upton's cycle was the first in Tampa Bay history.

He started his big night with a three-run triple in the first, had a double during a four-run third, hit a two-run homer in the fourth and completed the cycle with an RBI single in the fifth.

Evan Longoria and Ben Zobrist also had two RBI each in helping Tampa Bay win for the fifth time in six games.

David Price (10-7) picked up the easy win, allowing a run on just two hits in seven innings.

CC Sabathia (19-8) had not lost in any of his previous 11 starts, but was unable to reach the 20-win mark for the first time in his career. He allowed nine runs on eight hits in just 2 2/3 innings.

Upton's cycle came in the 1,939th game in franchise history. It was the eighth cycle in the majors this season, which equals the all-time record for one year, set in 1933.
