COL FB: Penn State 35, Illinois 17

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Stephfon Green and Evan Royster combined for 225 yards rushing and two scores Saturday, keying No. 13 Penn State's 35-17 win over Illinois.

Penn State (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten) ran for 338 yards total and all five of its touchdowns came via the run. Green ran for 120 yards on 13 carries and Royster had 17 rushes for 105 yards.

Daryll Clark had 175 yards on 17-of-25 passing and added 83 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Brent Carter had the other Penn State touchdown.

Juice Williams, who needed 76 yards of offense to break Illinois' (1-3, 0-2) all- time record, wound up with a total of 321. Williams completed 20-of-36 passes for 263 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also ran for 58 yards and a TD.
