Cleveland Browns' quarterback Derek Anderson looks to pass against the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore

BEREA, Ohio, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Derek Anderson is taking over as starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, Coach Eric Mangini said Wednesday.

Mangini said Anderson would start Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals as the Browns look for their first win of the season. Brady Quinn started the first three games but was pulled at halftime of Sunday's 34-3 loss to Baltimore.

Quinn won the starting job during training camp, although Mangini didn't announce that until the start of the regular-season opener. The Browns have struggled, however, scoring one offensive touchdown in the three games this season with Quinn completing 45-of-74 passes with three interceptions.

Anderson is in his fifth NFL season. He has started 27 games, including 15 in 2007. The Browns won 10 of those games. However, the team was 3-6 in games Anderson started last season.

For his career, Anderson has completed 527-of-946 passes for 6,287 yards, 43 touchdowns and 38 interceptions.
