PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Pedro Feliz hit Philadelphia's 11th grand slam of the season Tuesday in a 7-4 victory over the Houston Astros.
Feliz hit his second grand slam of the season and seventh of his career for the Phillies, whose magic number to win the NL East was reduced to one. With five games remaining, Philadelphia needs only one win or an Atlanta loss to clinch the division title.
Jayson Werth added a two-run homer, as the Phillies won for only the third time in eight games.
J.A. Happ (12-4) went 5 2/3 innings and yielded four runs on nine hits and one walk to become the team's first rookie since 1959 to win that many games.
Kazuo Matsui and Lance Berkman each homered for the Astros, who lost for only the first time in six games against the Phillies this season.
Wilton Lopez (0-1) gave up five runs and six hits in 3 2/3 innings in his first career start.
