Tommie Harris' wife dies

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Philip Rivers and Eric Weddle scored touchdowns and Nate Kaeding kicked three field goals for the San Diego Chargers Sunday in a 23-13 win over Miami.
Rivers connected on 18-of-33 passes for 303 yards and ran 5 yards for a touchdown.
Weddle intercepted a pass and ran 31 yards for a score and Kaeding's kicks were from 25, 23 and 26 yards. Vincent Jackson caught five passes for 120 yards for the Chargers (2-1).
Ricky Williams scored on a 14-yard run and Dan Carpenter kicked field goals of 24 and 23 yards for the Dolphins (0-3).
Miami quarterback Chad Pennington injured his right shoulder and was replaced by Chad Henne in the third quarter. Combined, they completed 18-of-31 passes for 146 yards.
