NFL: N.Y. Jets 24, Tennessee 17

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Rookie Mark Sanchez passed for two touchdowns and ran for a score Sunday, piloting the New York Jets to a 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Sanchez connected on 17-of-30 throws for 171 yards, connecting with Ben Hartsock on a 2-yard scoring play and Jerricho Cotchery on a 6-yarder. Sanchez's rushing TD was from 14 yards out.

Cotchery totaled seven receptions for 108 yards.

Kerry Collins passed 37 times with 15 completions for 170 yards and a touchdown for Tennessee (0-3).

Collins' touchdown pass was a 9-yarder to Nate Washington and LenDale White ran 5 yards for a another Titans score.
