Monfils tops Kohlschreiber in Metz final

Monfils takes on Nadal in fourth round match at the US Open Tennis Championship in New York

METZ, France, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Frenchman Gael Monfils overcame German Philipp Kohlschreiber in three sets Sunday, winning the Open de Moselle in Metz, France.

Monfils, the tournament's top seed, won his second ATP title by a score of 7-6 (7-1), 3-6, 6-2.

Kohlschreiber, who was the second seed, has two titles on the tour. He last won at Auckland, New Zealand, in 2008.
