Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
FRISCO, Texas, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Joe Cunningham scored twice Saturday, igniting a 3-0 Major League Soccer victory by FC Dallas against Real Salt Lake.
He scored in the fifth and 87th minutes, giving him 15 goals this season.
David Ferreira had a goal and an assist.
Dave van den Bergh had two assists, while goalkeeper Dario Sala made six saves for the Hoops (8-12-6), who rose to 5-1-0 in their last six matches at home.
They are the highest-scoring MLS club with 41 goals, but will not go to the post-season playoffs.
RSL (9-11-7) suffered its second straight loss and will need wins in its final three games to avoid a similar fate.
