Arbitrators rule against Orioles pitcher Bergesen

PHOENIX, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Kevin Correia reached a career milestone Friday by throwing a six-hit shutout that gave San Diego a 4-0 victory over Arizona.
In the 78th start of his major league career, spread over seven seasons, Correia threw his first shutout and first complete game. He has also made 124 relief appearances.
Correia (12-10) struck out seven and walked only one.
Will Venable and Chase Headley drove in runs in the fourth, Adrian Gonzalez had an RBI single in the fifth and David Eckstein delivered another score with a single in the seventh.
The loss went to Max Scherzer (9-11), who surrendered three runs on five hits in five innings.
