
HOUSTON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Laynce Nix and Jay Bruce knocked in three runs each Saturday, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 10-4 rout of the Houston Astros.
It was Cincinnati's 10th win in its last 12 contests.
Nix and Bruce hit two-run homers.
Juan Francisco and Corky Miller had two hits and two RBI apiece, and Joey Votto added three hits for the Reds, who have beaten the Astros nine straight times.
Winner Justin Lehr (5-2) gave up four runs and six hits in five innings.
Houston's Miguel Tejada had four hits -- one a solo homer -- and two RBI.
Hunter Pence hit a solo homer, while one run scored on Lance Berkman's fifth-inning double play ground out for the Astros, who have lost 11 of 12 overall and four of five under interim manager Dave Clark.
The losing pitcher was starter Felipe Paulino (2-11).
